Hello all...
Today - the announcement that Locala has been
successful in winning the Care Closer to Home bid for Kirklees community based
services is made. I'm delighted, of course, but I'm also desperate to get
across a message that we want to work with all our partners to get the delivery
of our services right.
Over the last few months I've been quiet on twitter
and I haven't blogged. I've done this on purpose - making sure all our
focus has been on the quality of the bid and the plan on how we will deliver
change to our services.
So, in this blog, I don't propose to get long
winded messages out there, or talk in detail about the changes we want to
make. I want to reiterate three things....
1. We've been successful here by being very open
that this is a partnership, and our role is to ensure we work with all our
partners - GPs, hospitals, social care, mental health. We will get that
right and make sure we behave in an open, honest and transparent way
throughout.
2. Our people and colleagues are everything to us.
Our record of people involvement inside our organisation is excellent - we
believe that is we treat our people right they will treat the people and
patients they serve right. Our commitment to that remain.
3. We want to be at forefront of change. The new
clinical model and the drive for even better use of technology means we are
determined to help lead a period of major change , putting communities, people
and patients are at the forefront of everything we do.
So to sum up, we delighted to be the preferred
bidder, delighted to prove our partnership credentials and we are to listen and
here to act.
Look forward to working with everyone over the next
few weeks.
Robert
